A CHANGE IN APPROACH

It has taken some time to get this blog up an running due to other various commitments and achieveing a proper schedule may take some time still. Especially, in comparison to the stiff competition that is already present in the bogging community such as the Torch (#1 Military Blog of 2007), and the Military Mom at Home (#2) both very excellent and informative sites with two great perspectives. A revision of this site's approach is in order.

After reviewing these other sites we believe that if we follow suit it would only be echoing what they have already said so eloquently and worked so hard to achieve. Therefore, here we intend to pursue a some what different approach. Certain items will still be posted that are believed important enough to be posted again but the majority of the focus here will be on stories and other various literary pieces, experiences, and even a joke or two from time to time.

Any suggestions will be greatly welcome

Significant Interests

A comment was received today that requires a response.

The posts that are published on this blog are quotes either heard in day to day life from events and people around the globe, read in fiction or non-fiction publications, or they are from historical events or people. For those who do not have the background or insight to see them for what they are than that is your loss and your trivial comments are not welcome. As for the blog it is not intended as a forum for political or moral debate. The 'Quote of the Week' (QW) is only something to ponder over when there is nothing else of significant interest available to publish.

Regarding this mornings quote of the week, it comes from a Roman Military writer and strategist by the name of Flavius Vegetius Renatus.

If there are any interesting quotes that either contradict or emphasise the quote of the week than it they are welcome, but personal views or perspectives are not. Comments are moderated by the blogger editor and may not be published at all.

SITE OVERVIEW

This site will concentrate on military events past and present, specifically targetting the army. For obvious OPSEC reasons the majority of the content will be vage in nature and will be presented in images, video and news that has been gleaned from other sources on the net. Some will be stories and media produced by us but will be scrutinized to ensure OPSEC is not violated. As well, jokes will be posted making light of the military in general.

Monday - Jokes, to start off the week just right;
Tuesday - Quote of the Week, to keep make you think;
Wednesday - Motivational Poster, to help get throught the week;
Thursday - Poem of the Week, to instire;
Friday - Photos, Videos & Media, to finish off the week;
Saturday - TBC
Sunday - Pryers, and such, because its back to the grind tomorrow.

Canadian news articles will be posted along with various quotes that may have some bearing on present military matters and events or they may just be of interest.
